DESCRIPTION
Sesame is an annual oilseed plant native to tropical Asia and belongs to the Pedaliaceae family. It is cultivated in Africa and Asia. This oil is mainly composed of unsaturated fatty acids. It is also very rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains sesamin and lecithin, two natural antioxidants that promote the formation of nerve and brain cells. This makes it an ideal oil for preventing cardiovascular disease. Its high unsaturated fatty acid content helps regulate the ratio of good to bad cholesterol.

The seeds are grown without pesticides or fertilisers and are carefully cleaned and lightly roasted to give them a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. The oil obtained in this way can be used to enhance dishes.
For your information:
Oil obtained from unroasted seeds is also used for its moisturising and nourishing properties. This invigorating vegetable oil is widely used in Ayurvedic massages.
Add an exotic touch to your dishes with sesame oil: ideal for enhancing vegetable stir-fries, meat or fish marinades, and even for adding flavour to soups or tartares. Its intense, toasted flavour makes it a staple in Asian and creative cuisine.
