DESCRIPTION
Who doesn't remember those bright yellow fields around May that brighten up our countryside? Rapeseed is a plant from the cruciferous family, i.e. the cabbage family. At the end of flowering, pods form containing the precious black seeds. The oilseed varieties produced in our region yield an amber-coloured oil with green highlights. Its nutritional properties rank it among the oils with the highest omega-3 content. It is particularly recommended for people with cardiovascular disease.
Rapeseed oil
The seeds are carefully cleaned of impurities before being crushed (pressed) without any additional heat source. The natural heat generated by the friction between the seeds is sufficient to extract an oil with a fairly thick texture and a dark yellow colour tinged with subtle green hues.
Perfect for seasoning, rapeseed oil adds a delicate touch to your salads, raw vegetables and marinades. Ideal for gentle cooking, it also enhances stews and pastries thanks to its subtle flavour and nutritional benefits.
